Why Choose our Paper Compostable Caddy Bags
When it comes to protecting our planet - and our kitchens - wouldn't it be wonderful if the products we purchase to help us live a greener, cleaner life actually worked and helped us rather than hinder us? After all, there's nothing worse than setting out to do your bit for Mother Nature only to be disheartened and discouraged from doing so because you have to deal with poor quality caddy bags that frequently leak, split or explode... But now, thanks to these thick, strong and eco-elegant Bags4Caddies paper-based food caddy bags, recycling food waste has never been so quick, so easy, so clean or so stress-free, because:
- Stronger than food caddy liners made from corn and wheat starch, these kitchen caddy bin bags boast excellent tensile strength and durability; they even retain liquids well without leakages or spills
- These paper-based compost caddy bags are 100 per cent biodegradable; they'll completely break down in commercial compost heaps in a matter of months and won't leave any toxic chemicals or other nasties behind. They even give something back to our planet; helping to make nutrient-rich humus which all our plants and trees need to grow healthy and strong
- Specifically crafted to be convenient and easy to work with, these tall biodegradable food waste bags are reliably strong and dependably durable; providing excellent caddy bin and floor protection at a nominal cost
What Can These be Used For?
These Bags4Caddies paper-based food waste bags (council approved) are intended to fit most 7-litre kitchen compost bins and have been cleverly crafted so that they can be opened out with a box-shaped bottom to fit in your kitchen caddy or to sit on a work top (like the images show). You can also fold the top of the bag over for added strength when removing the liner from your kitchen caddy.
Dimensions: 200 x 150 x 360 mm
These paper-based caddy bin liners are EN13432-certified as fully compostable and biodegradable to the internationally recognised certification for compostable material. Governed and endorsed by Din Certco, OK Compost and the UK Compost Association, these caddy liners are accepted by most local authorities for food waste recycling schemes.
Storage & Usage
These Bags4Caddies food caddy liners should be stored in a cool, dark and dry place because if left near sources of heat and moisture (like near your kitchen sink, microwave, tumble drier or utility room), they'll eventually start to degrade.
Therefore, it's very important that you keep them somewhere cool out of direct sunlight and away from damp or muggy environments to keep them fit for purpose. You should also use all your caddy bags within 18 months of purchase and use up the oldest liners first.
These paper-based biodegradable food waste bags last longer than conventional kitchen caddy liners and are great at retaining liquids, however, you may find that grease can still leak through. For that reason, we suggest placing a sheet of kitchen towel roll in the bottom of your paper caddy bin liners - or at the bottom of your caddy bin - to soak up any oils or fat that do escape. And don't worry, you can still recycle that piece of kitchen towel roll along with the rest of your organic kitchen waste.
