Why Choose our Paper Food Waste Bags
Being Earth-conscious and mindful of how much waste we produce shouldn't have to feel like a bothersome chore. But due to the fact that most caddy bags for sale nowadays generally don't appear to be fit for purpose, that's really not the case. Thanks to cheap, counterproductive kitchen caddy bin bags that leak; split and explode on a whim, many folks are discouraged from composting or recycling their food waste... But now, that can all change thanks to these thick, strong and eco-elegant Bags4Caddies paper-based caddy bin bags. With them, recycling food waste has never been so quick, so easy, so clean or stress-free, because:
- Stronger than food caddy liners made from corn and wheat starch, these compostable caddy bags boast excellent tensile strength and durability; they even retain liquids well without causing messy leaks or spills
- These paper-based food waste bags (council approved) are 100 per cent compostable; they'll completely degrade in commercial compost heaps in a matter of months and won't leave any toxic chemicals or other nasties behind. They even give something back to our planet; helping to make nutrient-rich humus which all our plants and trees need to grow healthy and strong
- Specifically crafted to be convenient and easy to work with, these tall, pliable kitchen caddy bags are reliably strong and dependably durable. They provide excellent caddy bin and kitchen floor protection at a nominal cost
What Can These be Used For?
These Bags4Caddies paper-based compostable caddy liners are intended to fit most 7-litre kitchen compost bins. They've been cleverly crafted so that they can be opened out with a box-shaped bottom to fit in your caddy or sit on a worktop (like the images show). You can also fold the top of the bag over for added strength when removing the liner from your kitchen caddy.
Dimensions: 200 x 150 x 360 mm
These paper caddy bin liners are EN13432-certified as fully compostable and biodegradable to the internationally recognised certification for compostable material. Governed and endorsed by Din Certco, OK Compost and the UK Compost Association, these biodegradable food waste bags are accepted by most local authorities for food waste recycling schemes.
Storage & Usage
These Bags4Caddies paper caddy bags for food waste should be stored somewhere cool, dark and dry because if left near sources of heat and moisture (like near your kitchen sink, microwave, tumble drier or oven), they'll eventually start to do what they do best and that's degrade!
Therefore, it's very important that you keep these bags out of direct sunlight and away from places in your home that are moist and stuffy (like utility rooms and under the kitchen sink) so that you can keep them fit for purpose. You should also aim to use all your food caddy bin bags within 18 months of purchase and use the oldest ones first.
These paper-based biodegradable caddy liners last longer than conventional caddy bags and are great at retaining liquids, however, you may find that grease can still leak through. For that reason, we suggest placing a sheet of kitchen towel roll in the bottom of your caddy liners - or in the bottom of your caddy bin - to soak up any oils and fats that do escape. And don't worry, you can still recycle that piece of kitchen towel roll along with the rest of your organic kitchen waste.
